Shipping out the first orders is always really exciting. Spread out on the floor at our daughter’s house, I snapped Don while he was signing books. We are really grateful to everyone, both Aussie and Kiwi, for their support and have been delighted to see our previous books being picked up as well as the Vintage and Retro Caravans Downunder book. The post office however was a little less excited when we turned up with six big boxes of packaged books. We were not so popular with the queue either as we learnt that every individual Australian order had to have a customs declaration form which we had to complete before the books could be processed. Luckily now we have a big stack of these at home and can complete them before we hit the post office!
It has been awesome receiving such positive feedback about the book. We’ll post some of these comments in due course, as we figure out how to do things on our new website. Hopefully you are all planning awesome adventures in your vans over the coming holidays. Some NZ dates to keep in mind are:
